Internationally Renown London Artist Paul Walde's Work to Appear in Twilight

From Paul Walde's series GNAW, GALLERIES, EXCAVATIONS

If you happen to be checking out the latest film in the Twilight series, which is playing in theatres now, you might get a glimpse of London artist and musician Paul Walde's artwork. Pay close attention to any paintings hanging off the walls of Edward's house and you might see this 4'x6' piece.

The print is part of a series called GNAW, GALLERIES, EXCAVATIONS. Here's a description of the series from PaulWalde.com:

A large series of prints which examine evidential markings left by wild animals in found wood. Imagining these markings as evidence of a rapidly disappearing culture, this series attempts to draw parallels between human markings and those of beavers and porcupines (Gnaw), wood peckers (Excavation) and bark boring insects(Galleries ). Using hand printing techniques traditionally used in printing woodcut blocks, these large scale prints are mounted onto plywood panels. Mounting the prints in this way allows the viewer to read the markings and the resulting images in the manner of paintings.

Paul Walde, art curator of the London Ontario Live Arts Festival, is a part of the music act Audio Lodge and has created an incredible body of artwork. Make sure to check out his website.
