Protesters Rampage Vancouver Streets

While yesterday's anti-Olypmic protests in Vancouver were predominantly peaceful, today a group of around 200 black masked protesters took to the streets in a rampage. Judging by the photos the group appear to be a faction of the Black Bloc Anarchists famous for their actions during the Seattle protests back in 1999. Smashing windows and spray-painting walls, targeting a bank, cars with Olympic flags, and store-fronts advertising the 2010 games.

A video shot by Nick Wyjna yesterday shows tension amidst the protest.

Today, on the other hand, there are already hundreds of photos and video of the Black Bloc's actions. Not surprisingly this strike must have surprised authorities since it took awhile before they confronted the protesters.

Here are some more photos from today's protest (courtesy of ShotinVancouver.com).

"However, apart form one store front window shattered with what appear to be three bullets holes, most likely from a police officer's pistol, there are few reports of violence."

What is this I don't even.

If VPD a officer, or anyone for that matter had fired a weapon at a protest during the Olmpics, wouldn't there be reports of it all over the news?  Where is this report from?

I'm going to have to call a rule #32 violation. Pix or it didn't happen.

Also, newspaper boxes ≠ bullets

Q: How do you get rid of an Olympic anarcho-punk?
A: Hide the trustfund check under the soap.
