'A Curious Collection of Monstrous Tinies' will be held at The Arts Project 203 Dundas in London Ontario, from February 9th-20th. Opening night: Tuesday February 9th 7pm-9pm (admission fee of $10). This is a special show for London as it will be featuring artists who have worked as illustrators for Clive Barker, China Mieville, Caitlin R. Kiernan. Bands such as; Korn, The Misfits, Jakalope, HIM, Lamb of God, The Birthday Massacre, Avenged Sevenfold, Tiger Army. Magazines such as; Rue Morgue, Revolver and Royal Flush. Movies such as; Resident Evil 2, Gingersnaps, Frank Miller's 300. Some of these artists own their own publishing and production companies. Let's not forget the awards they have won some of which are Juno awards, Genie award film nominees, Adobe Decade ' Most influential sites'. Performers who have been featured on The Discovery Channel for their talents, fashion designers who have shown their work on the runway of Toronto's fashion week.
Celebrities such as; Drew Barrymore, Guillermo del Toro, Nile Rodgers, David Bowie, Clive Barker, Udo Keir and more, have been enticed by the works of these artists.
This is a collaboration from Sarah Legault from 'The Bird Behind The Mask' and Vincent Marcone from 'My Pet Skeleton'. Long time friends and avid art lovers who have done numerous art shows together in London Ontario; the legendary 2005's Incision, 2006's Asylum and Cirque de la Lune, followed by 2008's GRIMM, With Sarah Legault as the organizer and participating visual artist for these events and Vincent Marcone as a participating visual artist they have decided to get together to form The Shadowood Collective. First of this series is 'A Curious Collection of Monstrous Tinies'. First stop for The Shadowood Collective will be in Sarah Legault's home town of London Ontario. Then will be traveling through Ontario collecting other artists during their travels. This is just the beginning...
