AgendaCamp London 2010

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend AgendaCamp which was held in London at the University of Western Ontario. Put on by TVO and used to fuel tonight's edition of The Agenda with Steve Paikin, the day’s events saw people from across and outside the city come together to discuss some of the topics that are important to London, Ontario and the surrounding region.

I had chance to sit in on open discussions about the role of culture in shaping London’s future and the importance of youth in London’s community and what keep’s them here after they (the youth) are done school.

Although heading into AgendaCamp I didn't bring any personal agenda with me by the time I left I felt like I had some type of direction. Rather than trying to sum it up here I would direct you over to Brian Frank's post titled: Why Would a Twenty-Something Stay in London.

It is events such as this that help to open dialog among the diverse populations of a city that might not otherwise come together to discuss topics that influence each and every person. I hope that ChangeCamp can come to London and continue where AgendaCamp left off.

During the day I had my camera with me and decided to take some shots which I have included in this post.

Great post! Wish I could have been there.

Savanah, you should come out to the "Geek Dinner" some night to chat with some like-minded individuals who attended AgendaCamp
