Short films are an important genre of film making as it allows artist to try new things, produce content that my not be suited for a full length release and most importantly, it allows them to practice their craft and hone their skills. With out a proper venue to showcase their works, often they pick up and leave for larger cities with more opportunities. As these filmmakers leave, our city loses income from the cost of productions, creative and fresh minds that bring new life into London and most of all, we lose the chance to support new and emerging art form.
