Indie Video Game Competition Gamma IV Submissions

The Fourth annual Gamma game competition will take place at this year's GDC 2010 in San Francisco. In previous years the Gamma has employed such themes as "Gamma 01: Audio Feed (games driven by live audio), gamma 256 (games with extremely small pixel dimensions)". This year the competition takes the following shape:

"Gestural controls, multi-touch surfaces, musical instruments, voice recognition—even brain control. Games are moving beyond the iconic hand-held controller, and into the future. But is the secret to good games found in high-tech interface hardware? Kokoromi proposes that game developers can still find beauty in absolute simplicity."

There's a slew of interesting submissions already including Silent Skies by Spyeart and See the Sea (Red) by Cactusquid. Gamma IV does look to be yet another promising showcase of extremely creative games produced by some outstanding developers. Indie games live on!

Below is Jph Wacheski's entry Impulse. I love the use of audio from The Onion's Robot Overlord video piece.
